Don’t speed or jump red lights. This is an obvious one, but if you are caught by a speed camera and your adjusted speed is just 1 kph over the limit (in urban areas), you will be getting a speeding fine in the post a couple of weeks later. Levels of fines vary between cantons, but they can add up if you have a heavy right foot.  Over a certain speed fines can be unlimited, your licence can be removed on the spot, and your car can be impounded.
